What is Healthy Heart Score?

Your Healthy Heart Score  gives us a better indication of your current heart health. To get a Healthy Heart Score, you will need to complete a health assessment. Results from your completed health assessment, together with your smoking status, are used to calculate your Healthy Heart Score and identify which category your heart health falls in, either green, amber or red.

How to book a health assessment

A health assessment can be done at Dis-Chem, Clicks, Pick n Pay and at corporate wellness days, with a qualifying medical scheme or with one of our Multiply approved independent pharmacies.

How to improve your Healthy Heart Score

Diet

Eat more fruit and vegetables. Limit your red meat intake.

Exercise

Work out for a minimum of 30 minutes per day.

Alcohol

Limit your alcohol intake to two drinks per day.

Stress

Plan properly and exercise regularly to manage work stress. 

Rest / Sleep

Sleep for a minimum of seven to eight hours a night.

Smoking

Stop smoking. Limit your exposure to second-hand smoke.
